an obsession- readwirtepoem #43

You decided to enter my life
with your lies and guts
bullying others as usual.

And now all I wish
is to forget your face
or how I ever met you

but you took over the air
so I have to breath you.
I have to obsess over you

and your lie.
So I can make you not happen
and get my freedom, back.

I really like "so I can make you not happen." Great line.

All I could think was how dark and depressing obsession is. And dangerous. Thanks for the read.

Sounds like a normal relationship...

The embrace which becomes an antithesis, a self-smothering: saying Yes too much becomes the obsessional drown.

Susan,
yes obsession is dangerous -it is time consuming. And time is something I am always running short lately.
Simona,
Depending on how you define normal
Twitches,
Thank you. I hope it works or I foresee 4 dark years…
Brendan,
wow, your comment sounds better than my poem.

Obsession Passion very similiar don't you think? I also like the last line and the descriptions of many real life bullies.

It was just a sour observation from me. :) I was just sarcastic. lol

But I'm afraid this is the case very often.

Simona,
yes, it might be the case. How often... I really do not want to think about occurrences right now.

lela b,
thank you. Obsession Passion –yes, a very thin line. However in this case passion is out of the question. Yes, many bullies and pit bull(ies), with or with out lipstick.

I really liked the last two lines. :)

It's almost a contradiction in terms, obsessing over someone to forget him, but that's what makes this poem work.

Oh, I've so been here. You've written the feelings perfectly,
& the truth is at first I enjoyed
the obsession...however not for
long. Thank you for writing this.

thanks, I am glad you liked it...

Kimberly,

yes, I think the last line was the best...
Christine,
When somebody keeps on bullying you and does not let go, I guess you have to dedicate a little more time to made him/her go away...
