When I wrote the poem posted previously I meant it as a tribute to Sylvia Plath's work. A small tribute, a poor one maybe but nevertheless .... I had no idea at that time about her son's suicide on March 16. It is a sorrowful event and even though he was not a poet himself I think we (poetry lovers) should remember him as well ...

si eu am auzit de asta abia dupa ce am citit tributul tau. si m-am intrebat oare cat de conditionati suntem de unele lucruri, mai ales de cele carora n-am vrea sa le alocam vreun drept de genul asta ...
imi pare foarte rau ca s-a intamplat. sau poate ca ar trebui sa mizez mai mult pe dreptul oamenilor de a alege, chiar si sinuciderea.

Din nefericire suntem conditionati de o multime de lucruri care nu tin de alegerea nostra. Genetica si predispozitia spre anumite boli (depresia in acest caz). Educatia din familie, din cercul social in care ne miscam...eu nu am nici o indoiala ca rasismul si anumite fobii precum xenofobia sunt rezultatul educatiei...
Apoi sunt si algerile pe care le internalizam, dar desigur asta sta intr-o masura in puterea nostra (in ultimul timp portretul lui Dorian Gray a inceput sa capete din ce in ce mai mult sens pentru mine)...
